Group CB is a French family company that has existed for over 110 years and is located in Ferques. It started its activity with marble and aggregate exploitation. In the course of years the company has extended its activity to five fields: aggregates, ready-mixed concrete, prefabricates, decorative stones, refractory elements. Products are sold in tens of countries, including Russia and China, which enables to achieve turnover of over € 250 million. Group CB establishments employ about 1000 persons. Poulain family, at present two brothers - Franck and Gille, run the company for the whole time. In Poland the family appeared in 2006 on the building prefab. elements' and ready-mixed concrete market. A Polish headquarters is located in Toruń.

The historical calendar of the Group CB
1896 - Auguste Poulain, a marble vendor at that time, decides to buy a marble quarry in Boulonnais.
1917 - investment in equipment and devices for cutting marble and limestone, which results in the establishing Marbres du Boulonnais company.
1945 - Auguste's sons : Michel and Georges take over the company and decide to build a mincing factory
1959 - turning point in the development of crumbled stones exploitation , treatment and sale activity. There appears a new high efficacy factory.
1974 - the new mineral rincing machine ( at that time the newest in the whole Europe) enables the production of new aggregates. At the same time there appears the new railway linking the mine and the national railway network.
1977 - Daniel Poulain, working in the company since 1961, replaces his father and continues the company development together with his wife Beatrice.
1988 - the purchase of Terres Refractaires du Boulonnais (TRB) is the beginning of the Group CB diversification and birth.
1993 - The Group Carrieres du Boulonnais enters the ready-mixed concrete and concrete blocks market thanks to the purchase of BMCO company.
1995 - the increase in aggregate production opportunities thanks to the purchase of the quarry in Avesnois - Carrieres du Bassin de la Sambre (CBS) company.
1998 - Franck and Gille Poulain, Daniel's and Beatrice's sons , take the lead of the Group CB
1990 - They substantiate their position on the concrete market thanks to the purchase of the Baudouin company in High Normandy
2003 - the purchase of the Société Marbres et Dalles in Bourgony enables to set up a subsidiary and to enlarge the market within Bourgony
2005 - the beginning of the expansion into foreign markets
2006 - the purchase of Budrex -Metal and TPPB Torbet companies in Poland
2007 - the purchase of the Fabet - Łomża company
