Reinforced slabs 2k

1. General characteristic of the slab 2k

The slab 2k is a prefabricated monolithic slab composed of thin reinforced mat elements and a layer of supplementary concrete laid on them on the building site.

The characteristic feature of the slab 2k is its technological construction solution which enables designing and execution of the slabs 2k as bending in two directions , that is to say like in case of classic monolithic cross reinforced slabs despite their prefabricated monolithic shuttering.

Other characteristic features and advantages of the slab 2k :
-Small thickness of prefabricated elements that let, without complications, form freely their edges. It enables to form freely the slab and its edges.
-Small weight of prefabricated elements which enables their installation with usage of light equipment;
-Entire lower reinforcement moving in two directions installed in prefab. elements enables to limit reinforcement works on the building site only to addition of the reinforcement along the joints of prefab. elements and alternative reinforcement over the support;
- only linear installation supports are used instead of full shuttering
- installation of all sorts of wiring into the concrete layer laid on the building site is possible
- no necessity of plastering; finishing of the lower surface of the slab is confined only to paint or to wallpaper after abrasions.

2. Range of applications

The slabs 2k can be used in all types of residential and general building and mainly in case of such constructions where there appear diverse functional and architectonic solutions. The slabs 2k can cover freely sketched building projections ( design 2 ) because they do not demand regular and modular support span. The supports of the slabs 2k can be walls, beams as well as columns. Monolithicity of the slab makes it exceptionally useful in the terrains subjected to mining influences as well as in case of weak and heterogeneous soils .

Thickness and reinforcement of the slab are every time adjusted by a designer to individual functional and architectonic solution in function of the span, loads and desired acoustic insulation degree. The slabs 2k can be installed everywhere, mainly in cases where uniquely monolithic slabs could be used so far.
